Prof. Goran Šimić is a tenured Professor of Neuroscience and Anatomy at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine and Head of the Department of Neuroscience at the Croatian Institute for Brain Research (CIBR), where he leads the Laboratory for Developmental Neuropathology. His research focuses on the neuropathology and biomarkers of developmental and neurodegenerative brain disorders, especially Alzheimer’s disease and tauopathies.
